IAR PowerPac for ARM supports ARM7, ARM9, ARM9E, ARM10E, ARM11, SecurCore, Cortex-M3, and XScale devices.

IAR PowerPac for ColdFire supports ColdFire V1, V2 and V3 cores.

IAR PowerPac for MSP430 provides support for all devices in MSP430 and MSP430X families.

IAR PowerPac is a fully-featured real-time operating system (RTOS) combined with a high performance file system. IAR PowerPac is tightly integrated with IAR Embedded Workbench and comes with sample projects and board support packages for ARM devices from different manufacturers.

IAR PowerPac family also includes IAR PowerPac USB and IAR PowerPac TCP/IP. These products are sold as add-on options to IAR PowerPac for ARM. IAR PowerPac FTP server is an optional extension which adds the FTP protocol to the IAR PowerPac TCP/IP stack.

FTP server

The IAR PowerPac product family has been extended with an FTP server. This product is provided as a separate add-on.

New board support packages

Board support packages have been added for the following devices:
  • Atmel AT91SAM9XE
  • IAR KickStart kit for STM32F103ZE
  • NXP LPC3250
  • Toshiba TMPM330

Task sensitive RTOS awareness

The new version of the RTOS aware C-SPY plug-in module allows selecting and analyzing any task. This means that the register, call stack, source code and disassembly windows, which normally show the state of the running task only, now switch to the state of the selected task. This works for all tasks in the system, including tasks which have not been started, the running task as well as blocked and interrupted tasks.

TCP/IP support has beed added for the following controllers:

  • Freescale i.MX27
  • SMCS LAN9115, generic Ethernet controller

USB driver support has been added for the following devices:

  • Atmel AT91SAM9260
  • Freescale i.MX27
  • NXP LPC3180

Demonstration examples of Segger emWin

Demonstration examples of the Segger emWin graphics product are included in the following board support packages:
  • Atmel AT91SAM9RL64
  • NXP LPC2478
  • Toshiba TMPA910

Updated versions of the following user guides:

  • IAR PowerPac RTOS User Guide
